2009/2010 REGISTRATION INFORMATION

LeducMinor Hockey has implemented a trial online registration process to beused for this next season. This was initiated to make registering forHockey easier for everyone involved. Please be patient as this is atrial process that will be evaluated as to the effectiveness at theconclusion of this season.
Pre-Registration Deadline is July1, 2009. Pre-registration is very important to Leduc Minor Hockey inorder that we can get a very close idea of the player numbers that wewill be dealing with for next season. There is a LATE FEE of $100.00this year for all registrations received after July 1st (FinalRegistration Day). Of course this does not apply to new members to ourassociation. The purpose of this late fee is to ensure that everyoneregisters prior to this date so that we can plan accordingly with theproposed numbers at each level. Registration Fee Payment is NOTrequired until September 15th, however, it’s the registration that weare most interested in. Even if you think that your child may or maynot please ensure that you register to ensure that space is available. If you are going to be trying out for the LJAC elite teams you stillmust register with Leduc Minor Hockey if you plan to play in Leduc toavoid the $100.00 Late fee being charged. Please help us effectivelyplan for the upcoming season and REGISTER online prior to the July 1st deadline.
HOW TO REGISTER:
Registration can ONLY be done onlineand Registration in person will not be done this year. If you areunable to register online please contact the registrar as follows:

The Registration Procedure is now as follows:
1. Simply go to our website registration page.
2. Read through the instructions on the webpage and when done simply click on the Register Now link below.
3.As this will be the first time that registrations will be done onlinefor everyone the first step in the process will be to create an onlinefamily account. Only one account is necessary per family as you will beable to register multiple children within this one account.
4.Once you have created your account an email will be sent to you forconfirmation. You will be required to confirm your creation of thisfamily account through this email. This account will now be yours foryears to come and will not require re-creation each season.
5.Once you have confirmed your account you will be now able to registeryour children with Leduc Minor Hockey. Simply return to the RegisterNow link on the Leduc Minor Hockey Registration Page and log in to yournewly created account.
6. Follow the steps in the registrationfor registering each of your children paying particular attention tothe questions and comments throughout.
7. Once yourregistration has been completed the registration is not complete untilyou have mailed the following information to Leduc Minor Hockey:
a. If paying by Cheque or Post Dated Cheque please mail the following to the address above:
- Registration Cheque (Post Dated to a maximum of Sept. 15, 2009)
- Registration Form – Please Print
- Parent Declaration (If Required)
- Player Verification (If Required)
- Undated Bingo Deposit Cheque for $300.00 per Player
b. Ifpaid by Visa or Mastercard please mail the following to the addressabove (Note that post dating payments is not possible if paying by Visaor Mastercard):

PAYMENT OPTIONS
1. Registration fees for the 2009-2010 hockey season has been posted below.
2. Registration deadline is now July 1, 2009.
3. Post-dated cheques are accepted up to September 15, 2009.
4.Late fee of $100.00 applied to all registrations after the registrationdeadline of July 1, 2009. This additional fee does not apply to firsttime registrants to our Association.
5. We will try to cash all cheques within one week of the date of the cheque.
6.All NSF cheques are subject to a $50 Fee and must be cleared within twoweeks of notice. In addition all playing privileges will be suspendedimmediately in September until the players account has been settled andmay include suspension from evaluations. It is the responsibility ofthe parents to contact the Treasurer to clear up the account to returntheir account to a member in good standing and return playingprivledges. Once an NSF cheque has been received the account must becleared using CASH.
7. If you or anyone you know requiresfinancial aid, in order for their child to participate in the LeducMinor Hockey Association program, please know that there are severalprograms available to remove the obstacles of kids participating inMinor Hockey. Some of the programs available are:
a. Kids Helping Kidz– This is a Leduc Minor Hockey program that is funded by team accountsand donations each hockey season. It is intended to provide financialassistance to our Association Boundary residents in need of financialassistance to ensure that every child has the opportunity toparticipate with Leduc Minor Hockey. If you require assistance pleasedownload and complete the application form.Once completed please forward to the registrar. Applications will on afirst come first serve basis. Applications will be reviewed monthly andthe information will be kept strictly confidential among the LeducMinor Hockey Board.
b. Kidsport – Feel free tocontact or download a Kidsport application form from the followingwebsite at http://www.kidsport.ab.ca/ . Not all kids have theopportunity to be involved in sports. For those who dream of hitting ahomerun, playing goalie, shooting hoops, taking one for the team andmaking new friends, it's all possible through KidSport. For a happier,healthier lifestyle for Alberta kids, KidSport makes a difference. Withthe help of sponsors, volunteers and dedicated directors and staff,more and more kids are getting the chance to play sports. If possibleplease apply to Kidsport before registration so your child’s hockeyregistration in not delayed. This information is kept strictlyconfidential.
c. Canadian Tire Jump Start Program– Please visit the Canadian Tire Jumpstart website athttp://www.canadiantire.ca/jumpstart/ for further information anddetails of the program.
TRYOUT FEES:
1. Bantam AA (Payable to LMHA): $25
2. Bantam AAA , Midget AAA, Midget Minor AAA & Midget AA (*Payble to the Leduc Minor Hockey): $100.00
*Once the LJAC tryout fee is paid, you DO NOT pay the $25 tryout fee for subsequent tryouts. All base fees are payable to LMHA.
LEVEL ADJUSTMENT FEES
Forplayers making a competitive team the Level Adjustment fee is payablein addition to the base fee once the teams are established - See Fees.Deadline for payment of Level adjustment fees is December 1st of theplaying season. If level adjustment fees are not paid at this time allplaying privileges will be suspended as a member not in good standing.Team managers along with the level directors will facilitate thecollection of the level adjustment fees.
FUNDRAISING
1.One Bingo must be worked for each player registered with Leduc MinorHockey Association. LJAC sets it’s own Bingo requirements.
2.A deposit cheque of $300 for each player registered must be submittedwith registration form and fees. Please do not date the cheque. Thecheque will be destroyed when you work your Bingo. You must work yourBingo for the 2009/2010 season before the end of May 2010. Any memberthat has not worked their Bingo will have their cheque cashed withoutnotice. Bingo cheques must be mailed with a copy of your registrationto:

3.Bingos must be signed up for within the Online Registration. There willbe 3 date choices for you to choose your preferred dates that you wouldbe able to work your Bingo. Your will also be provided 2 choices of thepositions that you would prefer to work. Any registration withouthaving registered for your Bingo date will not be processed. There willbe no exceptions. Any questions, please contact our Bingo CoordinatorTammy Alexander at 780-986-6757. You will be able to check to confirmyour bingo date on the website under the Bingo link.
4. Teamsparticipating in provincials may be required to work an additionalbingo to supplement shortfalls in bingo workers depending on the numberof bingo workers available through registrations. These additionalbingo requirements will be determined around January of the currentplaying year.
NEW TO OUR ASSOCIATION?
If you are new to Leduc Minor Hockey Association the following additional information will be required:
1. A copy of player’s birth certificate is mandatory.
2. If you have played elsewhere and have moved into Leduc, a “Parent Declaration” form is required.
3. If you have played elsewhere and have moved into Leduc, a utility bill may be required to verify residency.
4. If you are an import player, a “Player Verification” form is required.
5. New Hockey Parent information is available on our website at www.lmha.ab.ca under both theregistration and forms section. We encourage new parents to read thisinformative document for general information about hockey and LeducMinor Hockey Association.
SEASON START (ONLY APPROXIMATE)?
Thefollowing dates are to provide you with an idea of when the pre-seasonwill start for try-outs and team formations. These are not the datesbut will likely be similar for the 2009 season. Keep an eye on thewebsite under your division in late August, if not sooner, as thetryout times and information will be posted once finalized. Simply goto www.lmha.ab.ca and select the division on the left side of thewebsite that applies to your child. All players will get a phone callfrom the director indicating their first ice time.
Novice Offside Clinic – Held Last Year around September 7th
Peewee Checking Clinic – Held Last Year around September 6th
Bantam AA Tryouts – Began Last Year around September 5th
Atom Evaluations – Began Last Year around September 13th

PLAYER AND PARENT PLEDGES:
Playerand Parent Pledges will be provided to all members and will form partof first team players and parents meetings. Each player and parent inLeduc Minor Hockey will be required to read and understand the contentsof the pledges. Pledges can be viewed at our website at www.lmha.ab.caunder the forms section.
